Key job tasks of general manager job description
1. Planning administration
Provide leadership and vision to the organization by assisting the Business and staff with the development of long range and annual plans, and with the evaluation and reporting of progress on plans 3 and 5 year business plans.
Oversee preparation of an Annual Report summarizing progress on short and long range plans.
Analysis documents and proposals as needed to assist the organisation in determining and meeting its long and short term goals.
Maximize income and minimize expenses.
2. HR management
Recruitment and contracting of company and project staff; managing the optimal staff numbers depending on marketing success of the business.
Wage calculation monthly
Staff House Control, finding and leasing suitable premises for staff ensuring a loss is not made,building is cleaned and maintained properly, including snow clearing.
Employee development, and training;
Policy development and documentation;
Performance management and improvement systems;
Employment and compliance to regulatory concerns and reporting;
Ensure ongoing back-country staff and knowledge to ensure safety and continuation of this risky part of the business.
3. Marketing and PR:
To learn and master SEO and how to achieve high ranking on search engines, especially Google.
Manage advertising opportunities on the internet.
Manage the businesses website to be ranking in the top of Google search for the key words combinations of – ski lessons Niseko, Niseko ski lessons, Niseko ski school.
Organize the availability of company members for media/PR events as necessary.
Oversee content, production and distribution of all marketing and publicity materials (posters, program, flyers, mail outs, brochures, internet posts and content
Manage press development with back links and reciprocal links.
Organize guest blogs
Co-ordinate the invitation of potential future promoters and supporters of the company.
Social Media management and control such as Facebook, Google plus, Twitter and other resources.
Video marketing using YouTube and Vimeo to promote business free and boost SEO ranking.
4. Financial management
Provide recommendations regarding investments and cash strategies.
To Actively reduce expenses and increase income.
Oversee preparation of annual budget, regular variance statements and annual audit.
Provide vision regarding overall financial health of the business.
Provide vision and leader ship in long – range fiscal planning to ensure the continuity and solvency of the business.
Provide recommendations regarding effective utilisation of long and short term debt, including refinancing and purchasing/sales.
Oversee fund raising efforts.
5. Equipment and operational systems control:
Insure the safety of all equipment and assign and administer, daily counts to make sure all gear is accounted for always.
Vehicle management, make sure log books are filled and complete and have all km accounted for, private use forbidden except with approval, only license experienced non alcoholic influenced drivers to use
accurate documentation of business records.
Direct and oversee site production activities and personnel.
Oversee and ensure high safety standards at all times.
Direct production activities to insure safety and compliance with quality control standards, regulatory compliance, and lease agreements.
Oversee and/or ensure good housekeeping at site at all times.
6. Administrative management
Ensure client and vendor file integrity (documents, analytical information where required, communication notations, etc.).
Assist in development of forms and tools to increase company efficiency and risk management.

1. Internationally certified instructors
FAST FUN JAPAN snow sports are currently looking for internationally certified instructors to join our expanding snow sports business! 1st December 2016 – 31th March 2017. You will have the opportunity to teach in the powder capital of the world.
We give preference to dual certified instructors (certifications in snowboarding, skiing, telemarking, adaptive, freestyle) multilingual individuals (English (Compulsory), Japanese, Mandarin, Cantonese) any additional languages will boost your application. Previous teaching experience in seasons anywhere in the world is ideal. Passport and working visa for Japan is required.
FAST FUN JAPAN snow sports is a start up business and we’re looking for hard working, friendly and reliable instructors who can stay the whole season and those who can help us out in busy times (Christmas, Chinese new year). You may have guaranteed working hours and competitive wages, however, teaching hours are dependent on the tourist economy, sponsorship visas may be provided for high level instructors and guides.

2. Front desk staff
FAST FUN JAPAN snow sports are currently looking for front desk staff to join our expanding snow sports business. 1st December 2016 – 31th March 2017. You will have the opportunity to work in the powder capital of the world.
Previous experience of office work and working with the public is required. You will be taking bookings and offering friendly advice to customers, so a knowledge of snow sports is necessary.
We give preference to multilingual individuals (English, Japanese, Mandarin, Cantonese) any additional languages will boost your application.
